What are the warning signals when the mixer is overloaded?

Jul 30, 2025 Leave a message

1. Motor abnormality
Motor overload alarm: When the mixer is overloaded, the motor load exceeds the rated range, which may trigger the overload protection device alarm.
Motor heating: Overload will increase the motor current, causing the motor to heat up significantly.
Difficult or impossible to start the motor: Overload causes the motor load to be too large, which may cause difficulty or inability to start the motor.
2. Abnormal equipment operation
Abnormal noise and vibration: Overload may cause excessive pressure on the internal parts of the equipment, resulting in abnormal noise and vibration.
Slower stirring speed: Overload will increase the load on the stirring shaft and significantly slow down the stirring speed.
Equipment leakage: Overload may cause the internal pressure of the equipment to increase, the seals to be damaged, and leakage to occur.
3. Control system alarm
Weighing system alarm: Some mixers are equipped with a weighing system. When the material exceeds the rated load, the weighing instrument will display an overload symbol (such as "┏┈┈┓").
Inverter alarm: If the mixer uses an inverter to control the motor, the inverter may detect current abnormalities and issue an alarm when overloaded.
4. Other abnormalities
Automatic shutdown after equipment starts: Overload may cause the equipment overload protection system to start, and the equipment will automatically shut down after running for a period of time.
Uneven material mixing: Overload reduces the mixing efficiency, resulting in uneven material mixing.
Countermeasures
1. Immediate shutdown inspection: Once the above abnormal signals are found, the equipment should be shut down immediately to check the equipment load and operating status.
2. Reduce the material loading: Confirm whether the material loading exceeds the rated capacity of the equipment. If overloaded, the material should be reduced.
3. Check equipment components: Check whether key components such as motors, mixing shafts, and seals are damaged, and repair or replace them in time.
4. Standardize the operating procedures: Operate strictly in accordance with the rated capacity and operating procedures of the equipment to avoid overload operation.
